Terms & Conditions
Final chargeable numbers must be confirmed 21 days prior to your function, at which point full payment is required.
The Hotel reserves the right to change prices and menus due to market fluctuations without notice.
The client shall be liable for any costs incurred by the Hotel as a direct result of improper or disorderly behaviour by any guests attending their function. The Hotel reserves the right to remove guests from the Hotel in these circumstances.
The client or their guests cannot hold the Hotel - under the 1956 Hoteliers Act, liable for any items left on the Hotel premises after the event, without prior written agreement during or after the event.
The client is advised to consider arranging insurance for the function covering public liability and loss or damage to Hotel property, gifts (including monetary gifts) and that of persons attending the function. Small items may, at the discretion of the management, be placed in the hotel safe during the function. No liability will be accepted for items not handed for safe keeping for which a receipt must be obtained.
Once timings have been agreed and contracted the Hotel reserves the right to pass on any costs incurred as a direct result of the client failing to comply with these timings. Additionally the Hotel cannot be held responsible for failing to provide contracted meals and services as a result of timings not being upheld.
Not withstanding anything contained in theses terms, the Company and Hotel will not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations to the Client in whole or part as a result of any of the following circumstances ; -
- Strikes
- Other Industrial Actions
- Fire at or near the Hotel
- Flood at or near the Hotel
- Civil unrest, dispute or commotion
- Act of God
- Legal action against the Company or Hotel, not resulting from its negligence preventing the supply of services
Cancellation on confirmed bookings within 6 months prior to the function will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total estimated costs, excluding the deposit. If no numbers or menu choices have been submitted, the cheapest available menu, drinks package and buffet will be used against the numbers given on the initial Contract.
Cancellations on confirmed bookings within 3 months prior to the function will be subject to a charge of 80% of the total estimated costs excluding the initial deposit. If no numbers or menu choice have been submitted, the cheapest available menu. Drinks package and buffet will be used against the numbers given on the original enquiry.
Cancellations made within 1 month of the event will be charged the full costs based on the most recent information submitted, including the deposit.
Cancellations will not be acted upon unless received in writing and will be effective from the date received by Lawton Hotels Ltd.
