Friday 8th March 2013 - THE MARRIAGE OF VANESSA
DATE NOW FULL
a 1940s plot with a twist! - Fancy Dress Options WWII uniforms, land army girls etc
It is 1946. The war is finally over and you are all invited to the wedding reception of Vanessa Tobin and Captain Samuel Hill.
This is Vanessa’s second marriage – she was widowed earlier in the war when her husband Lt. Gary Tobin was killed in action. The much decorated Captain Hill was in the same regiment as the lieutenant. Captain hill was injured in the same action that saw Gary killed. He came to console Vanessa as soon as he was out of hospital. Eventually they fell in love and Vanessa is delighted to have found true happiness again.
Vanessa and Samuel are to be married in the afternoon. It will be a quiet, family affair, but they wish to celebrate with everyone in the evening at the Ramada Hotel.
As it is a wedding you may wish to dress up in the costume of the time. RAF, Army, Navy and all allied service personnel are all welcome of course, along with Land army girls, WAAFs etc. The choice is yours. However, dressing up is not compulsory and whatever you wear, Vanessa will welcome you with open arms!

How the Evening Works
The evening starts with a drinks reception at 7.30pm followed by dinner at 8.00pm.
Our wonderful actors - or should we say victims and suspects -will join you from the beginning, so start to find out about the characters, look for clues and gather your evidence in the bar!
The action will unfold around you and you will have the opportunity to interrogate all the suspects through dinner. There will be an “act” between each course. Join in as much or as little as you like, if you prefer to enjoy the evening in a less dramatic way, simply sit back, relax, watch, listen and enjoy the excellent food, wine and lively entertainment.
Try not to be late! If you arrive at the venue after 7.30pm the plot will already be underway and you may have missed some vital clues.
The case should be wrapped up shortly after coffee. With a bit of luck.
Join in the Fun
To enjoy the evening to the full, bring a note pad and a pen with you to jot down everything you hear.
Interrogate the suspects. They may have something to hide. For dedicated sleuths, remember this is not a time for true British reserve, do not shy away from asking those awkward questions. All the suspects have a story to unfold and they cannot do that without you.
Listen carefully to what the suspects are saying to each other.
Watch for any hidden facial expression that may give away a guilty secret!
Be suspicious and trust your instincts.
Above all, stay alert and keep your eyes and ears open. Trust no one. The person sitting next to you may be the murderer!

Friday 29th November 2013 - " Dandini (panto theme)"
Crumpton Regis Amateur Players (C.R.A.P.) have just finished their annual panto, Cinderella and they are celebrating with a party to which you are cordially invited. Now that the production has come to an end however all the petty jealousies, squabbles and ‘artistic temperaments’ have come to the fore. Accusations of bad acting, flimsy sets and dodgy special effects, together with revelations about some of the cast and crew all point to an ‘explosive’ evening.
But the burning question is … Who Did In Dandini? And was this the right way to advertise the production? “You’ve seen the best, now see the C.R.A.P. version of Cinderella” No wonder there were so many empty seats .
