Civil Ceremonies

A Civil Ceremony is a non religious wedding Ceremony which can be personalised to suit your own individual requirements.  Music can play an important part in the Civil Ceremony and the Bride and Groom may organise background music to suit, whether it is a harpist, string quartet or music special to them. You may also wish to recite some special words.

Leasowe Castle has three rooms licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies, the historic Star Chamber, Restaurant and Ballroom.

The Star Chamber is situated on the ground floor and is suitable for up to 50 guests.  The ceiling with it bright gold stars were brought from the Courts of Westminster, it has beautiful wooden paneling and four tapestries depicting the four seasons.  This room is full of character for intimate numbers.

The Restaurant    this is also situated on the ground floor and is suitable for up to 90 guests.  This is a lovely bright room with views across the golf course.

The Ballroom / Northumberland Suite this is also situated on the ground floor.  This room splits in two the Northumberland Suite, the slightly smaller side of the room can hold up to 150 for a civil ceremony and the Ballroom side can hold up to 250 guests.  This is a very grand room with high ceilings and views across the golf course.
